Method

  1. Cut the pork into thick strips and toss them with the hoisin sauce, honey and minced garlic.
  2. Simmer the jasmine rice in a covered saucepan with double its volume of water for 12 minutes and rest off the heat.
  3. Sear the pork in a hot skillet for 3 minutes per side, letting the marinade caramelise without burning.
  4. Add 3 tablespoons of water to the pan and simmer for 4 minutes until the sauce reduces to a sticky glaze.
  5. Steam the halved bok choy in a covered pan with a splash of water for 3 minutes.
  6. Slice the pork, pile it over the rice with the bok choy and finish with sesame seeds and spring onion.
