Method

  1. Rinse the basmati rice and simmer in salted water for 12 minutes until tender; drain.
  2. Slice the sirloin steak into thin strips and toss in the flour to coat lightly.
  3. Heat a splash of oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 3-4 minutes, turning, until browned.
  4. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
