Method
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Cut the steak into 1-inch chunks and dice the onion; mince the garlic.
Heat an ovenproof pot over medium-high heat and brown the beef chunks for 6 minutes on all sides.
Add the onion and garlic and cook for 4 minutes until softened.
Stir in the chili powder and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the diced tomatoes and kidney beans, then bring to a simmer.
Cover and transfer to the oven, cooking for 2.5 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
Stir in the dark chocolate until melted and season with salt to taste before serving.
