Method
Cut the paneer into 1 inch cubes and sear them in a hot skillet with a little oil for 4 minutes until browned in patches, then lift out.
Sauté the diced onion in the same pan over medium heat for 6 minutes until soft.
Add the grated ginger and garam masala and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce darkens and thickens.
Stir in the cream, return the paneer and simmer gently for 4 minutes.
Boil the basmati rice in salted water for 10 minutes, drain, and serve the curry over it with cilantro.
